It was a little more than I could afford, but I couldn’t resist. I’m moving in next week.

Sunken Living Room

image

Sunken living room, or conversation pit. This is the nicest one I’ve seen yet. All the elements are perfect. The round motifs are unique. The giant euphorbias in the window are incredible. They must be several years old. I’ve been growing mine for 15 years and they’re less than half the size. Love the carpet too! ahhh - it’s perfect! {If you’re viewing this in dashboard, you have to click on the image to enlarge it for some reason}.

Memories of Scarborough Civic Centre. Do you remember their “conversation pit?” (Have to find a picture of it somewhere online…)
Wow - memory rush. I haven’t been there in years. I wonder if it’s the same architect that designed the Toronto reference library. I’m seeing a lot of the same elements there.
